Ms. Rentar is an alumna of UCLA with a double major in International Development Studies and History and has a Social Science Teaching Credential from the University of Redlands. She also just cleared her credential through San Diego State University this past year. Prior to SMCES, she worked for a charter school in LAUSD as a high school AP/United States and World History teacher and for TVUSD as a long-time substitute teacher in multiple disciplines, including, but not limited to: English, PE, Government, Economics, Math and Special Education.
Ms. Rentar hopes to inspire, build and impart her passion for teaching History by building a safe, inclusive classroom community to prepare her students socially and academically for their high school careers and beyond.
